Bone density is an important indicator for the quality of bone. It is also an important basis on reflecting the level of osteoporosis and predicting the risk of bone fracture. KD-GRAND uses dual energy X-ray absorption for measuring bone density.
Dual energy X-ray absorption(DXA): Two energy sources, low energy and high energy X-rays are generated by a certain device through X-ray tube. When the X-ray penetrates to the parts of the body. The scanning system sends the received signal to the computer for data processing. Finally it will obtain the bone mineral content. In addition to the femur and lumbar, the test method can also use the humerus and ulna as measurement points. It can estimate the bone of any part of the body which has the characteristics of high precision, less harm to the body and good repeatability.
